The hardest lesson I’ve learned over the past few years in sales is that my definition of “making real money” was not the secret to happiness for me.

My career has sky-rocketed through a ton of hard work, late nights, missed social gatherings, middle of the night panic attacks, uncomfortable conversations, and tears.

I’ve busted my a$$ and I’ve reaped the monetary rewards. But I recently learned that reaching my “salary goal before 30” wasn’t enough to keep my heart fulfilled.

I started to feel stuck (something that doesn’t sit well with me) and I knew I needed to dig deep.

Through fate, I crossed paths with an incredibly intuitive and inspiring business & leadership coach who has helped me gain clarity on what I truly want out of my career and life moving forward.

Investing In Yourself

Just like athletes and professional musicians, I believe in partnering with a coach to help advance to the next level. I was looking for a coach who could help me work through my biggest fears, regrets and limiting beliefs while helping me navigate towards a fulfilling and rewarding

It took me years of hard work, trial and error, job hopping, trying multiple positions, to get to this place of realizing it’s time I invest in myself.

There was nowhere to go from here unless I was going to make a big leap of faith and truly pursue my dreams. In order to realize this and also address my fears head on, I hired Ashton.

Overcoming Your Weaknesses & Envisioning The Future

I have a strong sensitivity to time, and my biggest fear in life is spending too much of my time doing something I’m not absolutely crazy excited about.

Oprah once said, “Do what you have to do until you can do what you want to do.” Now that it’s been 5 years post-college, I’ve started to recognize that I’m getting closer to being in a place where I can start to choose what I want to do to earn money, versus doing what I have to do, which for me has always been climbing the corporate ladder.

Through the coaching sessions I’ve had so far, we’ve addressed my future goals and overcoming some of my immediate fears & weaknesses. We started by looking at what I’m passionate about and what my core values are.

We’ve looked at where I want to be in 3-5 years from now and really broken down all areas of my life – between my career, the blog, my relationship, and my family.

From there, we’ve looked at my daily habits and how I can set myself up for success every morning and evening, while decreasing anxiety.

Right now we’re looking at how I can take those next steps to pursue my dream career, which is why you have probably noticed me recently blogging and showing up online more.

If you find that you’re in a similar spot that I was at the beginning of this year: stuck, frustrated, tired, etc…, I can’t think of a better opportunity to start working with a business coach.

If you’d like to work with Ashton, you can find her information and shoot her an email here. I strongly recommend her services if you’re looking to make a breakthrough and take steps forward.

She’s incredibly intuitive and can see where you’re struggling. She helps you visualize and strategize what’s next, and she helps you overcome some of your biggest challenges (in my case, it is almost always myself).

I’ll update ya’ll later on what we’ve accomplished together. The best coach is one who helps you break through the noise inside your mind and get closer to who you really want to be. A good coach won’t do the work for you, but they will help you discover your true passions and how you can truly create a fulfilling life.
